A new position has been created to identify opportunities and win contracts within the heavy industrial, construction and engineering services within the Illawarra Region. The ideal applicant will already have strong existing relationships Mining, Construction, Logistics, Engineering sectors within In addition, this position is responsible for providing recommendations concerning investment strategies that might enable expansion into the adjacent markets.

To summarise some of the core duties of this role, they include:

  • Manage and maintain prospective customer relationships proactively
  • Research and identify potential contract opportunities within the agreed target markets
  • Develop marketing budgets to enhance the company’s presence within target markets
  • Lead tender proposals and contract negotiations utilising the resources within the internal team to gain positive outcomes
  • Assist in the development of materials that are tailored towards achieving positive results

Some of the core requirements we are seeking include:

  • Demonstrated ability in procurement, business development and sales in engineering within the above-mentioned sectors
  • Possess superior communication skills to influence others
  • General knowledge of steel construction and technologies is desirable
  • Experience to work with budgets and build schedules
  • Excellent negotiation skills whilst being customer centric
  • Flexible approach using initiative to lead others in achieving successful results
